“Being wrong isn’t a bad thing like they teach you in school. It’s an opportunity to learn something.” - Richard P. Feynman

Welcome to The Learning Ground.

The idea of spinning my thoughts into content had always been lurking, but imposter syndrome previously talked me out of it. This time it didn’t thanks to Professor Richard Feynman’s strategies for productivity:

- Stop trying to know it all

- Don’t worry about what others are thinking

- Don’t think about what you want to be, think about what you want to do

- Have a sense of humour and talk honestly

- Teach others what you know

The Learning Ground is being stood up to act as a no strings attached creative outlet. This fundamentally offers me the opportunity to share my way of thinking with those curious about all thing's human performance. In other words, it gets me out of my own head and allows me to consolidate and interact with an audience. Even if that audience is just my ma and pa (+1600).

While again relying on Professor Feynman's ideologies, my technique for delivery is to identify a concept, simplify it, find gaps in my understanding, improve it, and repeat (Figure 1). Finding gaps and everything that follows cannot successfully be executed without bias if there is no audience. That being said, ideally this will also ignite collaborative learning by providing professionals with another platform to share on, and debate or brainstorm with. As one mind cannot possibly encompass the complexity of humans, we can then hopefully begin to capitalize on each other's knowledge and resources.

With currently having a NSA relationship (See above or update your dating game lingo) with this project, do not expect a certain timeline to be followed. However, you can expect to see articles (including those from guest authors) sporadically, alongside infographics via social media and presentations.

I hope The Learning Ground intrigues you. If so, subscribe. Let’s learn.

About Alex AKA “Moose”

I googled “Blog Introduction Template” so here we go…

To date, I have made 1 blog post and not even close to a million dollars (not even one dollar) blogging in niche markets. In addition to producing a blog, I coach athletes and consult teams/organizations privately via Area 13 Training Systems, while working for the Canadian Department of National Defence and CANSOFCOM as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist.

I still fight traffic every morning, come into the office, and pour myself a cup of nasty coffee before doing the same thing every workday. It wasn’t until I found blogging that I was able to escape my 9-to-5 and work 9-to-9. While attempting to achieve financial freedom, this allows me to contribute to the field I am passionate about and still have a lack of time for friends and family.

If you would like to contribute, please do not hesitate to contact me at alexander@area13trainingsystems.com with your idea(s).
